Project: Everest (2015)
My Role: Compositor
Company: Framestore
Time on the project: 13 Weeks
Individual Shots Completed: 11
Total of the shots involved/helped to completion: 14

Coming from the Icelandic director, Baltasar Kormákur, who has done a few collaboration with Hollywood, starting with Contraband (2012), Everest is based on the real events of 1996 Mount Everest disaster, in which several climbers died.
Framestore was in charge creating Everest and surrounding environments and bring to life this rather sad story. My work mainly involved set extensions and blending the stage with the provided DMP and CG assets to create a seamless integration. Set Extension are one of my most favourite part of compositing and I find the moment when it’s no longer possible to tell where the real set meets CG very satisfying.
