Project: Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
My Role: Lead Compositor
Company: Framestore
Time on the project: 7 Months
Individual Shots Completed: 25
Total of the shots involved/helped to completion: ~150
The first Kingsman movie; Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the surprises of 2014 in the action genre and for better or worse it meant there will be more! I would opt in for the better as the director Matthew Vaughn so far has a great track record so Eggsy should be able to entrain us one more time.
This was also my first project as a lead compositor and therefore a special one. I was also delighted to work with VFX supervisor Chris Lawrence and Comp supervisor Chris Zeh both of whom I greatly admire.
Framestore was in charge of delivering some key action sequences of which I was looking after the comp team doing the very thrilling cable car section(see the show reel below). What I most enjoyed about leading was to be more creatively involved, and to help make things more efficient. Helping other artists with their day to day tasks and problem solving while working closely with production to ensure a balanced task load. It was an incredible opportunity and I learned so much.
